For years, Mirabeau’s Lounge at Lamar University had been neglected and underutilized. The university and its students were anxious to renovate, not only the facility, but the overall culture and function of the establishment.

It became clear in early meetings that the stakeholders were eager for a new concept that would encompass the eclectic nature of the student body, drawn from the surrounding eleven-county area. The facility was redeveloped into a full-service food establishment as well as a multi-use facility that has become the home of an inviting cultural activity center showcasing the talents of the students.
